The lane around the bungalows has more good food per hundred metres than most of the island: family Thai kitchens, fresh seafood, a couple of decent Italian places, and cafés open from early morning. Beachfront restaurants at the north end are the sunset option. Prices are village prices, not resort prices.

The kitchen and bar on the sand at the northern end of the beach. Busy at sunset, and the reason a lot of people walk up that way in the evening.

The restaurant on the sand at Nature Beach, and the busiest kitchen on that stretch — Thai plates, shakes and pizza, open until 22:00. You can eat with your feet in the sand and swim between courses.

A family-run Thai kitchen — husband, wife, cousin, sometimes the grandmother. Good for vegetarians; the panang curry with tofu is the one to try.
Lonely Beach Cafe
A small café on the sand — coffee, Thai milk tea, fruit plates and fried rice, open until 22:00. Buy something and the chair is yours; they also rent paddleboards by the hour.
