Lonely Beach

Things to do

Beyond the beach and the bar street.

Kayaks and paddleboards are rented on the sand. Tree Top Adventure Park moved to the Lonely Beach area in 2024 — ziplines through the canopy, a good half-day. Dive boats leave from Bang Bao pier, about twenty minutes south by scooter, for the reefs and wrecks around the marine park. Inland there are waterfalls and jungle trails. Massage and Thai cooking classes are both available a two-minute walk from the door.

  • Muay Thai gym

A Muay Thai gym down the coast road — walk-in training is normal here, and you do not need to arrive fit.

  • Tree Top Adventure Park

Ziplines and rope courses through the canopy behind the beach — it moved to this side of the island in 2024. A solid half-day; from ten years old, with height and weight limits worth checking first.

  • Lighthouse Scenic Point

An observation tower at the northern end of the bay, above the road. Worth the ride for the view down the coast.
